Because of the unsuccessful mission the night before, we decided to start earlier. We left at half past 8, and that was only possible after spending almost 10 minutes trying to persuade E and promising that Mama & Yayah wouldn’t be long. We’ll just grab the food and return home immediately. E prefers to be at home, and I guess that runs in the genes.
I’m happy to report that mission accomplished; we managed to get the food that we wanted. However, our little one fell asleep almost immediately when we entered the car. We tried to distract him, for we knew that we’d be doomed if he slept through the journey and bedtime would be delayed to god knows when.
We went to Bidayah Bistro in Wangsa Melawati but then diverted to Giant instead and met the owner and his wife there. Parking was a disaster; the place is jam-packed with people and cars. However, thanks to technology, we managed to secure our order via TikTok Live and picked up our food in a drive-through style. It was a humble setup, as they were simply selling their food from the boot of their car. Rest assured that Nasi Seketul Toq was really scrumptious; I have no regrets! We bought the Kerang Tempeh, Ayam Balado, and Ayam Kicap. The food can get pretty spicy depending on your tolerance level, so just make sure you have plenty of serviettes within reach.
Adoi! Just writing about it has my poor tummy grumbling already! I better stop now. 😉
Till the next one.
Stay Happy,
Amy
